About The Position

The Dynamics 365 Principal is responsible for leading Venture's Microsoft Business Applications practice, delivering successful client implementations, and growing a profitable consulting business. This individual serves as the primary functional expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft Business Applications while partnering with sales, project management, and technical teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Beyond consulting, the Dynamics 365 Principal will help establish service offerings, delivery methodologies, best practices, and a high-performing consulting team capable of scaling into a dedicated Business Applications practice.

Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sales, Customer Service, or Finance & Operations
Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform
Strong experience with Power Apps
Strong experience with Power Automate
Strong experience with Power BI
Strong experience with Microsoft Dataverse
Strong experience with Microsoft Copilot
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Working knowledge of Azure integrations

Responsibilities

Lead discovery workshops with executive and business stakeholders.
Understand client business processes, challenges, and strategic objectives.
Design end-to-end Dynamics 365 solutions aligned with business outcomes.
Document functional requirements and solution designs.
Configure Dynamics 365 applications and Power Platform solutions.
Recommend Microsoft best practices and industry standards.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution validation.
Support go-live activities and post-implementation optimization.
Act as Functional Lead on Dynamics implementations.
Own overall functional solution quality.
Manage project scope from a functional perspective.
Identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with Solution Architects, Developers, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
Mentor junior consultants throughout project delivery.
Partner closely with the sales team to conduct discovery meetings, deliver product demonstrations, present solution recommendations, develop Statements of Work, estimate implementation effort, and participate in proposal presentations.
Build trusted executive relationships.
Support cross-selling opportunities into Managed Services, Azure, Security, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric.
Help build Venture's Microsoft Business Applications practice by developing repeatable implementation methodologies, creating service offerings and packaged solutions, standardizing project documentation and templates, establishing delivery standards and quality controls, building reusable intellectual property, improving implementation efficiency, and identifying new Microsoft solution opportunities.
