About The Position

Senior Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant – D365 F&O Location: Washington, USA (Hybrid – In office/remote) Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant with strong experience in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) finance modules and global implementations across the USA and India. The consultant will be responsible for finance configuration, data migration, reporting, testing, and supporting finance go-lives for enterprise ERP implementations.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of ERP or finance consulting experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics AX Finance modules.
  • Experience in at least 3 full lifecycle D365 F&O implementations.
  • Experience with USA and/or India finance localization including tax and statutory reporting.
  • Experience with Agile delivery and onshore/offshore delivery models.
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes including Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report.

  • CA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Finance Functional Configuration
  • Configure and test core Finance modules including: General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Fixed Assets Budget Control Cash & Bank Management Project Accounting
  • Optimize finance processes for automation, audit trails, and financial close efficiency.
  • Define financial dimensions, chart of accounts, journals, tax configuration, and intercompany accounting.
  • Data Migration & Reporting
  • Lead data migration for financial master data including chart of accounts, vendors, customers, and opening balances.
  • Support historical data migration using Data Management Framework with validation and reconciliation.
  • Define financial reporting structures using SSRS, Power BI, and Electronic Reporting.
  • Support regulatory reporting such as US 1099 reporting and India GST, TDS/TCS reporting.
  • Implementation & Go-Live Support
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, and hypercare during finance go-live.
  • Provide user training and documentation for finance users.
  • Work with technical teams on integrations such as banking interfaces and treasury systems.
  • Participate in fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and solution design workshops.
  • Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
  • Support pre-sales activities including finance demos, RFP/RFI responses, and effort estimation.
  • Work with stakeholders across USA and India teams.
  • Provide finance process consulting including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes.
