About The Position

This Dynamic Scheduler supports the divisions of Pain Clinic (3 MDs, 1 APN) and Infectious Disease (9MDs, one APN, as well as a fellows clinic and multidisciplinary clinic.) These divisions have multiple clinic locations in the Loyola System including LOC, Burr Ridge, and Tinley Park. Loyola Medicine, treating the whole person with compassion—to "also treat the human spirit." We are seeking a Dynamic Scheduler to schedule patient appointments in conjunction with orders, urgency of care and patient convenience, involving multiple sites when appropriate.

Requirements

Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Minimum of 3 years of previous job-related experience

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Service Rep, highly preferred
Minimum of 3 years training in general administrative, business, healthcare, or related field

Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments in conjunction with orders, urgency of care and patient convenience, involving multiple sites when appropriate.
Monitors physicians' schedules daily for optimal physician schedule.
Utilizes insurance verification procedures to ensure maximum reimbursement and correct payment.
Proficient in clinical, registration and scheduling software systems.
Learns new systems as required.
Efficiently and effectively manage a high volume of telephone calls to the service area.
Answers calls using telephone customer service skills and maintains 95% for customer telephone skills.
