Dynamic Environments Engineer 3

ULA•Denver, CO
•Onsite

About The Position

The Dynamic Environments (DE) technology defines and verifies shock, random vibration, and acoustics environments for all launch vehicle components, ground system components, and payload. These environments can be derived from various modeling methods (SEA, BEM, FEM), industry standard methods, in-house methods and analysis techniques using data accumulated from flight and ground test measurements. Statistical enveloping techniques are applied to modeling methods/flight/test data to derive design, qualification, and acceptance criteria for vehicle and payload hardware. Dynamic Environments also defines and verifies specific component test requirements, develops and maintains data acquisition systems used for environments measurements, and supports anomaly identification and resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
  • 4 years’ experience with signals analysis, acoustics, shock, random vibration.
  • Experience with vibration, shock and acoustics test.
  • Experience deriving acoustics, shock or random environments from test and/or flight data.
  • Experience solving technically complex problems.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent team communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong time management skills.
