About The Position

We are looking for an Entry Level Dye Technical Assistant. You will support process development, pilot-scale manufacturing, and commercialization activities. You will safely complete experiments, operating process equipment, documenting results, maintaining laboratory and kilo-lab assets, and supporting scale-up activities under the direction of senior staff. You will sit in our Monroeville, PA location and will report to the Senior Research Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma/General Education Development required; Associate Degree preferred.
Less than 1 years+ of chemical manufacturing, laboratory, pilot plant, or related industrial experience.
Safety awareness, equipment operation, documentation, and teamwork.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday/
Organizational, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
Work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Complete laboratory, and kilo-lab operations according to established procedures.
Prepare raw materials, equipment, and documentation for development activities.
Operate reactors, filtration systems, dryers, mixers, and supporting process equipment.
Collect samples and submit for analytical testing.
Maintain accurate batch records and laboratory notebooks.
Support equipment cleaning, changeovers, and preventive maintenance activities.
Follow SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
