About The Position

Third Future Schools is seeking a DYAD Physical Education Consultant for Prescott Academy in Baton Rouge, LA. This role will lead engaging elective classes for students as part of the DYAD program, which connects classroom learning with community-based expertise. The consultant will provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities designed to build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and 21st-century skills. The Physical Education Consultant will focus on helping students build confidence, teamwork, discipline, coordination, sportsmanship, and habits of success through movement, fitness, and age-appropriate physical activities.

Requirements

Skill, knowledge, and first-hand experience in physical education, fitness, sports, or movement-based instruction
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience-based learning
Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in physical education
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, skill demonstrations, presentations, or other demonstrations of learning
