About The Position

Third Future Schools is seeking a DYAD Music Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students at their Killeen, TX, and Manor campuses. The DYAD Electives model focuses on building 21st-century skills through hands-on learning experiences. This role is part of the DYAD program, which connects classroom learning with community-based expertise. The Music Consultant will provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities in music, helping them build confidence, creativity, discipline, and habits of success through instruction in rhythm, instruments, vocal practice, movement, and music appreciation.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in music.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, performances, presentations, or other demonstrations of learning.
