About The Position

EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency, is seeking a full-time DWI Case Manager to join the Suffolk County DWI Case Management Services Program. This role is dedicated to supporting individuals involved in the behavioral health and justice systems, assisting them in accessing vital services such as alcohol and substance abuse treatment and other supportive resources. The agency is committed to making a significant difference in the lives of over 79,000 people through its numerous programs across Long Island and NYC.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in social or behavioral sciences required.
  • Must have working knowledge of treatment programs and local criminal justice systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct program screenings and assessments and follow-up interviews.
  • Develop psychosocial assessments and treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team.
  • Recruit participants for cognitive behavioral interventions and assist with scheduling and implementing.
  • Conduct sessions as needed.
  • Assist clients with basic needs (housing, public assistance, medical services).
  • Work with the Department of Probation to implement and monitor Secure Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) bracelet use.
  • Monitor clients in treatment to support recovery.
  • Maintain client records.
  • Prepare written reports as needed.
  • Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients.
  • Escort clients to treatment facilities when indicated.
  • Perform drug testing.
  • Assist program evaluation staff in data collection.
  • Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.
