  • 1–4 years of experience in test engineering, lab operations, or product validation.
  • Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and basic electrical schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently during second shift hours in a lab environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with thermal systems, liquid cooling, or HVAC equipment.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.
  • Exposure to ASHRAE testing or similar performance validation methods.

  • Basic understanding of controls systems or PLC operation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Design Verification Tests (DVT) according to established test plans and procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor test equipment and liquid cooling systems during second shift operations.
  • Ensure proper system configuration, instrumentation setup, and test readiness prior to execution.
  • Monitor system performance in real-time and respond to alarms, faults, or abnormal conditions.
  • Collect, verify, and document accurate test data in accordance with lab standards.
  • Maintain detailed test logs, observations, and shift handoff notes.
  • Support data analysis efforts by organizing and summarizing test results.
  • Assist in preparing systems and instrumentation for FWT activities.
  • Support execution of test procedures and ensure systems meet defined test conditions.
  • Provide real-time support during testing and document results for internal and customer review.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to test setup, instrumentation, and system performance.
  • Support root-cause investigations for test failures and unexpected results.
  • Escalate critical issues to senior engineers or lab leadership as needed.
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to support validation activities.
  • Assist with prototype builds, test setup modifications, and system adjustments.
  • Support implementation of test improvements and lab process updates.
