About The Position

Vineyard Veterinary Clinic is seeking 1st through 4th year veterinary students for a paid externship. This is an opportunity to learn from a dedicated and growing veterinary team in a thriving small animal and exotics practice. The clinic offers a diverse caseload including general practice, urgent care, and occasional walk-in cases, treating dogs, cats, and exotics such as small mammals, birds, and reptiles. Students will benefit from strong mentorship, a skilled support staff, and a modern facility equipped with digital dental x-rays, ultrasound, cautery, and a full in-house lab. The clinic emphasizes high-quality, science-based medicine with a Fear-Free approach to patient care and client communication. The externship provides real-world experience in a supportive environment, with potential future ownership opportunities through a Partner Track Program and access to a DVM Mentor Network. The externship is located in Edgartown, MA on Martha's Vineyard, offering a unique lifestyle with beaches, sailing, and hiking trails.

Requirements

Must be an Active Veterinary Student from an AVMA Accredited Institution.
