Requirements

• 2 to 4 years management experience in the Airport Ground Handling Business.
• A proven track record in managing an operational department.
• Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Must be able to hold and maintain all required security clearances.
• Able to work with a multi-cultural team and to adjust to the station environment.
• Good knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.
• Drive for continuous improvement and process development of the business.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective inter-department communication for day of operations.
• Communicate to Senior Management operational irregularities and impact.
• Prepare, and communicate daily operations summaries and host daily operational conference calls.
• Oversee day of allocation decisions according to operational schedules
• Provide oversight and direction for irregular operations handling, including the pre-planning for forecast events.
• Develop and oversee a team of direct report Operational Control Coordinators through feedback, mentoring, and performance management.
• Lead and oversee the various Operational Departments in the Operations Centre to ensure Menzies standards, and values are followed.
• Decision maker for operations.
• Other duties as assigned
