About The Position

The Durable Medical Equipment Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that durable medical equipment is properly maintained and safe for patient use. This role is responsible for the thorough cleaning, decontamination, disinfection, and maintenance of durable medical equipment used across all patient care units to maintain patient safety and prevent cross-contamination. The technician ensures that durable medical equipment is properly maintained to ensure functionality and safety. Additionally, the role addresses the needs of clinical staff and patients by promptly fulfilling equipment requests, troubleshooting issues, or assisting with the setup of equipment in patient rooms as efficiently as possible.

Requirements

High School Diploma/ GED
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented

1 year experience in a healthcare setting
