About The Position

The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on patient-owned equipment, rental equipment, and VA (Veterans Administration) equipment and reports directly to the Branch Manager. Health Aid of Ohio (HAO) is a federal supplier and service provider of home healthcare products. We are committed to safely providing our clients with mobility, home accessibility and vehicle accessibility. Our products include a wide selection including power and manual wheelchairs, walkers, bathroom safety equipment, ramps, vertical lifts, stair lifts and vehicle lifts.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited High School, or GED equivalent.
  • Previous technical and/or production experience.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge.
  • Must be able to lift heavy items regularly.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
  • Responsible and cooperative attitude.
  • Neat and clean personal appearance.
  • License and registration.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior home health care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high level of customer service at all times.
  • Responsible for assembly, repair and delivery of all products and equipment.
  • Responsible for service calls as needed in the office and in the field.
  • Responsible for some evening and weekend support according to on-call schedules.
  • Responsible for instructing patients on proper use of care equipment.
  • Must maintain high level of product knowledge on all provided equipment.
  • Responsible for all paperwork to be signed, completed accurately.
  • Responsible for maintaining the physical and mechanical condition of his/her assigned company vehicle and/or work area.
  • Is responsible for completing all other duties and projects as requested by the Branch Manager President or any other Manager.
  • Participation in the on-call rotation is required.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function of the job.
  • Complete 10 hours of continuing education credits, relevant to this position, per renewal cycle, including up to 5 hours of in-house facility-based In-Service continuing education and a minimum of 5 hours of approved peer review continuing education programs as directed by management.
