About The Position
Support CSU responsibilities for far detector photon detector assembly and testing. This role involves assisting in the setup and commissioning of the vertical drift photon detector test setup, developing test protocols, analyzing data, integrating testing into the DUNE Hardware Database, and providing general support for detector assembly and development activities.
Requirements
- BA in Physics or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs)
- Familiarity with high-speed analog and digital electronics
- Experience working with liquid cryogens
Responsibilities
- Assisting to set up and commission the vertical drift photon detector test setup.
- Develop test protocols to follow during testing of PD modules.
- Analize data collected during testing and certifying results.
- Integrating testing into the DUNE Hardware Database.
- Providing support in other general detector assembly and development activities as directed.
