About The Position
This position is responsible for setting up and operating the mechanical dumper while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any general production opening. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Requirements
- Must have 6 months of continuous employment with 1 employer within the past 12 months
- Must be documented on application or resume
- All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application
- Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days
- If you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire

Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating the mechanical dumper
- Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Shoveling
- Climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet
- Bending, stretching, reaching
- Working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
- Using basic hand tools and performing basic mechanical and maintenance functions
- Maintaining clean work area by use of soap and high pressure hose
- Reading and completing required logs
- Communicating with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Operating frontend loader or forklift (will be required to obtain certification)
- Performing the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
