About The Position

LaRiviere Inc is seeking 4 experienced dump truck drivers for the Caldwell / Boise, Idaho region. Drivers will operate and drive dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, or dirt. This role is essential in construction, mining, and other industries that require the transportation of heavy materials. Typical work is Monday - Friday with optional weekend work available. Pay is $28-$35 per hour based on experience, with potential to earn more due to prevailing wage job sites.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A or B
Proven experience as a truck driver
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Must pass drug and alcohol test
Ability to sit for long periods
Deep knowledge of safety standards and procedures
Excellent hearing, eyesight and physical condition
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

Responsibilities

Operating dump trucks to transport sand, gravel, dirt, or other loose materials to and from construction sites
Inspecting the truck before and after trips for safety including checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and brakes
Checking load contents for stability and safely securing them
Maintaining logs of vehicle repair status, working hours, and distance travelled
Following appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
Performing basic maintenance tasks such as changing tires, checking oil, and greasing the truck
Reporting any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor
Communicating effectively with dispatchers to provide progress reports and updates
Adhering to all traffic and safety regulations
