About The Position
Loveland Excavating and Paving is searching for an experienced Dump Truck Driver. This role involves driving and operating dump trucks to deliver materials such as concrete, asphalt, or miscellaneous items to job sites. The driver will be responsible for picking up materials, verifying load accuracy, and delivering them as instructed. The position requires the ability to use navigation tools and road maps, perform daily truck inspections, and adhere to all safe work practices and company policies. Additionally, the driver must be responsible for basic vehicle maintenance and immediately reporting any vehicle issues to their supervisor. Completing and verifying paperwork for accuracy, following all traffic laws and DOT regulations, and the ability to lift 80 pounds are also key aspects of this role. The company is an EOE and Drug-Free Workplace, requiring a pre-hire drug screen and participation in random drug tests.
Requirements
- 2 - 3 years’ experience driving a dump truck, hauling dirt, rock and/or asphalt.
- CDL – Class A or Class B - Manual Transmission
- Ability to lift 80 pounds.
- Able to pass random drug tests.
- Clean driving record.
- No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years.
- Listening and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Dependability.
Responsibilities
- Drive and operate dump trucks delivering material to job sites (concrete, asphalt, or miscellaneous materials).
- Pick up material, verify load for accuracy, and deliver as instructed.
- Utilize navigation and road maps.
- Perform daily inspection of trucks.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance.
- Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Report any issues with the vehicle to your supervisor immediately.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
- Follow all Traffic laws/ DOT regulations.
