Bi-Bett Corporation, a California non-profit with 50 years of experience in treating adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders, operates residential and outpatient programs in Alameda and Solano Counties, as well as Recovery Residences. With sites in Vallejo, Pittsburg, Walnut Creek, Brentwood, and Hayward, Bi-Bett is dedicated to providing effective and affordable human services to individuals, families, and communities facing alcohol and drug-related problems. Currently hiring for positions in Pittsburg and Brentwood, CA.
Requirements
- Experience working in alcohol and/or drug recovery programs.
- Certified Addiction Counselor
- Ability to conduct alcohol and/or drug educational classes for up to 35 students.
- A thorough knowledge of alcohol/drugs, related problems and recovery process.
- Sensitivity to cultural, disabled, gay and lesbian, transgender, bi-sexual issues.
- Understanding of recovery terminology.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Medical clearance.
Responsibilities
- Attend mandatory staff meetings.
- Teach weekly, evening, and/or Saturday classes and facilitate groups.
- Facilitate private individual face-to-face meetings with students.
- Maintain monthly or daily student progress notes.
- Other duties as required.
