About The Position

Join Terracon's growing environmental Due Diligence team in Nebraska as a motivated Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist. This role supports various projects including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, limited site investigations, and brownfield redevelopment. You will conduct field work, collect and evaluate soil and groundwater samples, research public records, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and prepare technical reports. This position offers a blend of field work, technical problem-solving, client service, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science or related field.
  • Up to 1 year experience.
  • Strong organization and technical writing skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable history.
  • Ability to travel out of town on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Terracon’s safety rules, guidelines, and standards.
  • Participate in pre-task planning.
  • Communicate safety questions or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain quality standards across projects.
  • Develop practical experience in site assessment, field data collection, sampling, technical documentation, and client communication.
  • Consult with other technical professionals and supervisor on routine and complex projects.
  • Perform site visits and field observations.
  • Implement project-specific technical requirements.
  • Evaluate laboratory and field data.
  • Prepare proposals and reports for senior review.
  • Participate in client and project team meetings.
