About The Position

Control Risks is hiring a Due Diligence Analyst to support a major global technology client. The Due Diligence Analyst will support the client's Global Security, Compliance, and Risk Management functions through the delivery of high-quality due diligence and investigative research. The successful candidate will independently execute complex due diligence projects, assess financial, legal, regulatory, reputational, and integrity risks, and provide clear, actionable analysis to support risk-based decision-making. This individual will leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT), proprietary databases, public records, media research, and investigative methodologies to evaluate third parties, vendors, business partners, acquisition targets, and individuals across multiple jurisdictions. They will also serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing insight into emerging risks, escalation recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in due diligence, investigative research, intelligence analysis, compliance, risk consulting, corporate investigations, financial crime, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting enhanced due diligence and integrity investigations on corporations, third parties, beneficial owners, and senior executives.
  • Strong knowledge of anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions, fraud, regulatory enforcement, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and reputational risk.
  • Experience utilizing research and investigative platforms.
  • Advanced OSINT collection, validation, and analytical techniques across a variety of public and commercial data sources.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with experience drafting client-facing investigative reports and executive-level briefings.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities with the ability to identify patterns, assess risk, and develop defensible conclusions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience working independently while collaborating effectively within global and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct enhanced due diligence investigations on third parties, vendors, suppliers, executives, beneficial owners, acquisition targets, and other subjects using open-source research, commercial databases, corporate records, sanctions data, litigation records, and media sources.
  • Analyze research findings to identify financial crime, corruption, sanctions, regulatory, legal, reputational, integrity, and compliance-related risks.
  • Evaluate complex information from multiple jurisdictions and sources to determine risk exposure and produce balanced, evidence-based assessments.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and actionable due diligence reports, executive summaries, red flag assessments, and risk briefings for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Assess adverse information and recommend escalation pathways, mitigation measures, or additional investigative actions where appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of global political, regulatory, legal, financial, and security developments that may impact third-party risk assessments.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders including Security, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Ethics and Investigations teams to support risk-based decision making and vendor onboarding processes.
  • Track, prioritize, and manage multiple due diligence projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to service-level agreements and quality standards.
  • Develop search strategies, investigative approaches, and analytical methodologies to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality of due diligence outcomes.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of research products and provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, reporting metrics, workflow optimization efforts, and program maturity activities.
  • Support ongoing risk monitoring efforts and provide proactive notification of material developments affecting existing vendors, business partners, or monitored entities.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of due diligence frameworks, escalation procedures, and reporting standards.
