Requirements
- Fabricate/Weld items using MIG/TIG and stick procedures in our duct fabrication shop.
- Ability to weld stainless steel and black steel sheetmetal.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs overhead.
- Capable of driving large non CDL flatbed truck to make deliveries.
- Possess a forklift operator’s certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Be able to input straight duct and fittings into our computerized fabrication system.
- Operate duct fabrication coil line and duct fitting plasma table.
- Operate sheetmetal shear, breaks, Pittsburg machine, and other duct fabrication machinery.
- Fabricate and assemble roof curbs and duct roof supports.
- Maintaining and managing tool inventories.
- Inspecting delivery vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues.
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, deficiencies and accidents or violations in a timely manner.
- Find ways to conserve resources.
- Operate warehouse forklifts to load and unload trucks.
- Assist with work in our sheetmetal shop when work is slow.
Responsibilities
- Inventory and maintain duct fabrication supplies.
- Input straight duct and fittings into our computerized fabrication system.
- Operate duct fabrication coil line and duct fitting plasma table.
- Operate sheetmetal shear, breaks, Pittsburg machine, and other duct fabrication machinery.
- Fabricate and assemble roof curbs and duct roof supports.
- Transporting construction material and equipment from SCI warehouse to job sites.
- Maintain and manage tool inventories.
- Inspect delivery vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, deficiencies and accidents or violations in a timely manner.
- Find ways to conserve resources.
- Operate warehouse forklifts to load and unload trucks.
- Assist with work in our sheetmetal shop when work is slow.
