About The Position

The primary role of a Barista is to provide high-quality beverages and food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. The primary role of Lead must supervise and assist staff to create an exceptionally memorable experience by providing guests with welcoming service, high-quality beverages, and products, while maintaining a clean, organized and inviting store environment. When business needs dictate, the Team Member will assume the role of Lead Barista. At no time will a Dual Rate Barista-Lead serve concurrently in both capacities.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and transport materials, items, and/or equipment frequently up to twenty-five (25) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach high areas, stoop, pull, push, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and bend for duties.
  • Must be able to follow both verbal and written directions.
  • Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate with all guests and team members positively and professionally.
  • Must be able to work in environments with high noise levels, flashing lights, smoking areas, and large crowds.
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure/fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and drink items in the outlet.
  • Knowledge of the sale program utilized within food outlets.
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent guest service skills.
  • Basic math skills and accurate money-handling skills.
  • Ability to remain reliable, learn quickly and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
  • Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team.
  • Ability to deal effectively with difficult guests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships.
  • Ability to distinguish between different denominations of U.S. currency and correctly make change.
  • Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to complete all necessary paperwork neatly and accurately.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain Sol Brew area and equipment.
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.).
  • Must either possess or obtain valid Food Handler’s and Alcohol Awareness cards within three (3) months of employment.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
  • Must successfully pass a job-related test.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening in accordance with company policy.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a valid gaming license/background check.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates guest and store needs by constantly evaluating product levels, environment cleanliness, and volume patterns.
  • Strategically plans labor distribution during shift to maximize guest service and productivity; actively directing most efficient use of labor resources.
  • Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Assists with training new staff by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving timely, respectful, and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment by celebrating desired performance, recognizing, and listening to staff concerns, noticing changes in team member morale or performance, and communicating items to the manager.
  • Delivers genuinely gracious service to all guests. Engages guests with an inviting and helpful attitude; embodies the desire to create a positive and memorable interaction.
  • Follows all Food and Beverage operational policies and procedures. Including those for cash handling, safety and security, and product management.
  • Assures accuracy of sales data and cash handling, including balancing of assigned bank.
  • Processes credit card and cash transactions.
  • Correctly redeems comps, vouchers, and player points; verifying identification to ensure proper distribution of player benefits.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Provides high-quality beverages and food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments; requests staff appreciations from management for outstanding performance, verbally acknowledges and praises team throughout shift highlighting desired conduct.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Supervises shift operations of outlet.
  • Completes communication notebook after each shift; documents shift accomplishments and issues for departmental manager review.
  • Adjusts ticket transactions such as voids and refunds.
  • Performs end-of-shift cash drawer close-out and reconciliation procedures.
