About The Position

The dual enrollment coordinator is responsible for overseeing the dual enrollment program at LSUA – which works with students and schools across Central Louisiana and the state. The coordinator will strengthen existing partnerships as well as grow the program focusing on underserved populations and schools. The coordinator must have a collaborative approach, able to work well in team environments and able to work evening and weekend events as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Ability to multitask in a high paced environment
  • Must be able to work outside of normal business hours
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Collect Dual Enrollment paperwork from high school personnel
  • Process applications for Prep students
  • Verify each student qualifies for the Dual Enrollment program based on admission criteria
  • Process registrations and course changes for Prep students
  • Provide billing information to the Accounting Office for each student enrolled
  • Run and provide mid-term and final grades of each student to high school personnel
  • Explain admission process and registration to parents and students
  • Work directly with Academic Departments on class offerings for the Dual Enrollment program, both on and off campus
  • Serve as advisor to Dual Enrollment Students
  • Monitor class attendance and grades for Dual Enrollment Students, intervening when necessary to ensure success of students
  • Provide information to high school personnel concerning upcoming dates, deadlines, and support services available for students
  • Recruiting additional schools to participate in the Dual Enrollment Program at LSUA
  • Meeting with high school personnel concerning the Dual Enrollment Program at individual high schools – assessing needs, improving processes
  • Represent LSUA at Dual Enrollment informational meetings
  • Providing reports to administration on the Dual Enrollment program
  • Ensuring that all required paperwork for Dual Enrollment students is scanned into Docubase
  • Updating LSUA website with the latest Dual Enrollment Program information
  • Recruiting Dual Enrollment participants for continuing studies at LSUA after high school graduation
  • Assessing and reviewing processes and procedures each year
  • Serve as the primary contact for all Dual Enrollment inquiries including, but not limited to registration, admissions, billing, and state reporting
  • Serve as point of contact for the State SCA Course Catalog, updating offerings each year
  • Providing support for high school counselors through the SCA portal for LSUA courses
  • Update MOU documentation for each parish annually.
  • Working to get this document approved and signed in a timely manner
  • Plan and conduct orientation for all dual enrollment students and parents
  • Provide Accounting a list of teachers and facilitators for payment of these individuals
  • Work directly with bookstore on group book orders
  • Work with academic departments to conduct degree audits for students pursuing an associate’s degree
  • Follow all LA Board of Regents’ policies and procedures for Dual Enrollment programming
  • Facilitate annual meetings between high school teachers and LSUA academic departments
  • Plan and conduct Dual Enrollment Teacher Orientation annually
  • Serve as liaison between faculty member and HS facilitators, intervening and solving issues when appropriate.
