About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of behavioral health services to the Allegheny County Mobile Competency Restoration Program. The Allegheny County Mobile Competency Restoration Program provides treatment to individuals for competency restoration both in the community and in the jail setting. We are currently seeking a full-time Dual Diagnosis/Licensed Therapist to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Dual Diagnosis/Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing behavioral health services, primarily therapy (individual and groups), for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders in a jail and/or a community setting to meet service delivery requirements of the Allegheny County Mobile Competency Restoration Support Team (MCRST).

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited institution
Pennsylvania master’s licensure required (licensed professional counselor, social worker, marriage and family therapist).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing therapy in a psychiatric hospital, behavioral health (inpatient or outpatient) center, or a correctional facility preferred.
In-depth knowledge of severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring-disorders
A basic understanding of the criminal-legal system preferred.
Knowledge of community supports for individuals transitioning from jail into the community.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to work independently, set and meet deadlines.
Ability to interact well with varied levels of managerial, clinical, custody, court, and administrative staff in correctional and community environments.
A valid automobile driver’s license, appropriate automobile insurance, and a safe, reliable, registered automobile available for use during work is required.
Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance (Act 33/34 Clearances are required and ability to pass Allegheny County background check including drug testing).

Responsibilities
