The Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Full‑Time Dual Diagnosis Disorder Specialist to join our Bridgeton, NJ team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a mental health‑related field from an accredited institution
  • LCADC or CADC credentials
  • Two years of post‑certification experience working with chronically mentally ill and/or MICA populations
  • Ability to work a flexible 40‑hour schedule, including some weekends, holidays, and on‑call rotations
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five‑year driving record meeting agency and insurance standards
  • A Background Check is required
  • Clear Five year driving record/abstract with ability to be insured by organizations carrier.

  • Spanish‑speaking ability preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive substance use assessments, education, and counseling
  • Delivering crisis intervention and symptom evaluation
  • Supporting clients in developing recovery skills and working toward a substance‑free lifestyle
  • Participating in assertive community outreach to engage individuals in need
  • Assisting with referrals to rehabilitation and treatment programs
  • Collaborating with the team during treatment planning and case reviews
  • Sharing responsibility for caseload management
  • Using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to effectively engage and support clients
