The Dual Credit Liaison (DCL) collaborates with Early College, Academic Affairs, and partner high schools to expand and strengthen dual credit opportunities throughout the Illinois Central College district. This position works to increase equitable access to dual credit coursework by supporting the development, implementation, and growth of dual credit offerings for qualified students. The DCL serves as a primary resource for partner high school faculty, providing guidance on Illinois Central College's Minimum Faculty Qualifications (MFQ), credentialing requirements, and approval processes. The position helps faculty navigate qualification pathways, identify solutions to credentialing barriers, and maintain compliance with the Illinois Dual Credit Quality Act (DCQA). Through relationship building, technical assistance, and cross-functional collaboration, the DCL supports the expansion of credentialed dual credit instructors and sustainable dual credit programming that increases student access to college-level coursework. This is a grant funded position through the Illinois Community College Board Access and Equity grant with an expected end date of 6/30/2027 with a possibility of the funding being extended. Compensation for the Dual Credit Liaison is $40,000.00 annually.
