About The Position

SRSU seeks qualified, adjunct/part-time instructors to teach dual credit students enrolled in freshman- and sophomore-level university courses in Government. This position involves teaching online, synchronous courses at a variety of days and times. The instructor will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, using a course syllabus for each course following established institutional guidelines, and evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives while informing them of their progress in a timely manner. The instructor will also maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community. This position is security sensitive and requires the incumbent to be responsible for personal safety and the safety of others, exercising due caution and practicing safe work habits at all times. This classification is subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants.
