Dual Credit Adjunct, Spanish, at Carmel Catholic High School
About The Position
Teach a Spanish dual credit course at Carmel Catholic High School. This position requires the instructor to currently or will be teaching Spanish at Carmel Catholic High School. The instructor must possess a Master's Degree in the target language or a related field, which would include Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or Latin American Studies (for Spanish). Alternatively, a Master's degree in any field with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours or equivalent coursework in the language of instruction is acceptable. The instructor must also maintain eligibility to work with secondary and post-secondary students, both in-person and virtually, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Illinois School Code and Faith’s Law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and any other required screenings.
Requirements
- Currently or will be teaching Spanish at Carmel Catholic High School
- Master's Degree in the target language or related field (Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Latin American Studies)
- Master's degree in any field with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours or equivalent coursework in the language of instruction
- Possess and maintain eligibility to work with secondary (high school) and post-secondary students, in-person and virtually
- Compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including the Illinois School Code and Faith’s Law
- Successful completion of a post-offer fingerprint-based criminal history records check
- Employment History Review
- Any other screening or clearance requirements mandated by state or federal law and applicable school district policies or procedures
