About The Position

As the DTL Leader in San Jose, you drive end-to-end engineering delivery for the submodule, ensuring predictable, high quality execution within scope, time, and budget constraints. You reinforce D&E standards, foster a healthy and high performing team culture, and manage people and capacity with clarity and accountability. You make technical “how” decisions aligned with Primus Inter Paris, oversee hiring within budget, and allocate internal and farm‑out capacity to optimize delivery. In close partnership with the MDU Leader, you align sequencing, integrate deliverables across teams, and introduce improved ways of working to strengthen execution and advance MDU objectives. The role spans innovative, multidisciplinary technology with multiple products in scope; involves significant collaboration with other Delivery Teams and integration across smaller MDUs; operates with two core competences within the team; carries broader competency and sub‑module responsibilities; and requires strategic stakeholder influence across adjacent MDUs, multiple sectors, and external partners.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering or in relevant technical field.
  • 5 years of engineering experience, including technical or team lead role, ideally within equivalent industry or within ASML as: (Chief) Product Owner, Group Lead, Project Lead, Team Lead or Main Delivery Owner.
  • Proven delivery track record on complex, multidisciplinary work.
  • Specialized knowledge of technical domain (incl. learnings from previous/ similar products in the field), and good understanding of interfaces with other Delivery Teams within MDU.
  • Planning and delivery leadership with proficiency in setting priorities and driving alignment in a fast-paced, ambiguous and customer-focused environment).
  • Analytical and pragmatic attitude.

  • For ACC: Applies precision motion, opto‑mechanical design, laser physics, optics, and mechanical tolerancing to develop stable, high‑precision system solutions from prototype to high‑volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of all engineering outputs for the sub-module and drive PGP execution for the sub-module based on a profound understanding of business success criteria.
  • Drive Delivery Team planning to realize the agreed objectives, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues incl. potential escalation to sector MDU roles on sector deliverable dependencies.
  • Set boundary conditions for sub-module elements, balancing QLTCS trade-offs across, ensure sub-module elements integrate into a coherent performant and reliable sub-module, and resolve bottlenecks escalated by architects, engineers, planner & integrators and sectors.
  • Day-to-day steering to realize Delivery Team deliverables, including industrialization deliverables.
  • Ensuring that risks, operational dependencies, and blocking items are solved or properly escalated.
  • Provide robust means & methods, tools, and competency development to enable high‑quality execution, including tailoring where needed—subject to Foundation approval—to best support Delivery Team performance.
  • Serve as the key liaison between a Module Delivery Unit and the Guild, ensuring clear alignment, effective knowledge flow, and consistent application of Guild standards and practices.
  • People and performance management of the Delivery Team (max. 10 direct reports and sector indirect reports), including talent development and succession.
  • Guaranteeing team stability, knowledge management, and workforce planning, including escalating resource shortage or surplus.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment in which employees feel engaged and can grow to their full potential.
  • Building a high performing team by setting right conditions and expectations, including for sector roles, to step-up their impact.
