About The Position

An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary and sixth form school in Enfield is seeking a skilled DT Teacher for an ASAP start. This high-performing school is recognised for its structured behaviour systems, strong academic outcomes and commitment to evidence-informed teaching. The Design & Technology department benefits from excellent workshop facilities and a curriculum spanning KS3 to KS5, with a focus on engineering, product design and practical application. This is a genuine Secondary & Sixth Form Teaching Opportunity within a school that values rigour, consistency and high expectations. This Permanent DT Teacher role involves delivering a knowledge-rich DT curriculum across KS3–KS5, using assessment data to secure strong GCSE and A Level outcomes. The DT Teacher will contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities and departmental improvement, while maintaining high behaviour standards and productive relationships with pupils and parents. Requirements

  • Holds UK QTS or is completing a UK-recognised teacher training programme
  • Possesses a strong academic background (ideally 2:1 or above, Russell Group preferred)
  • Has substantial UK classroom experience
  • Can evidence structured curriculum delivery and measurable pupil progress
  • Is confident operating within established behaviour frameworks
  • Holds a valid DATA certificate (at this stage, applications are only being considered from DT Teachers with the DATA qualification)
  • Is legally entitled to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
