About The Position

The Post-Incident Analysis (PIA) Intern supports the Incident Management, Problem Management, and Operational Resilience teams by assisting in the coordination, documentation, analysis, and tracking of post-incident review activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to IT Service Management (ITSM), Major Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Continuous Service Improvement practices. The intern will help ensure that incident records, timelines, corrective actions, and lessons learned are accurately documented and tracked to completion. Working closely with cross-functional technology and business teams, the PIA Intern will contribute to identifying incident trends, maintaining governance artifacts, supporting reporting activities, and improving the overall effectiveness of the organization's Post-Incident Analysis process. This position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in operational excellence, service reliability, process governance, and IT operations while contributing to initiatives that reduce repeat incidents and strengthen organizational resilience.

Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.
  • Must be actively pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, and Systems Engineering.
  • Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, networks, and enterprise technology environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating Post-Incident Analysis (PIA) activities for major and high-impact incidents.
  • Document incident timelines, business impacts, contributing factors, and lessons learned.
  • Support the collection and validation of data required for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reviews.
  • Track corrective and preventive action items and monitor progress toward completion.
  • Maintain PIA records, documentation repositories, dashboards, and reporting materials.
