About The Position
Golden Heart is seeking an experienced Lead DSP to provide direct care and support daily operations in a home-like setting. This role blends hands-on caregiving with staff leadership and administrative responsibilities. The DSP Team Lead provides Direct Care, and oversees Support Staff in the home for clients with disabilities (intellectual or behavioral).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years DSP experience
- 2–5 years administrative/leadership experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a group home setting
- Physically able to assist with client care tasks
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and medication support
- Supervise, train, and support DSP staff
- Coordinate schedules and ensure proper staffing coverage
- Maintain accurate client and staff documentation
- Address client/staff concerns and ensure a safe environment
- Participate in care planning (ISP reviews) and team meetings
