About The Position

Richmond Community Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities to live lives full of dignity, pride, and purpose. Our Day Habilitation Programs are designed to be vibrant, active, and built on a foundation of respect, opportunity, and individualized support. We are seeking a DSP Supervisor to maintain high energy, ensure a safe environment, and manage the smooth operation of services, while leading a team that provides quality care with compassion.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience (or completion of Richmond’s Supervisory Training)
• An Associate's degree with 3 years of experience OR at least 6 years of commensurate experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
• Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to balance structure with compassion, and confidence with flexibility
• A valid driver’s license (NY, NJ, or CT) with 3+ years in good standing

Nice To Haves

• An Associate’s Degree or equivalent in healthcare or a related field
• A calm, creative, and kind demeanor in a busy environment

Responsibilities

• Supervising a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in a dynamic Day Program setting
• Ensuring daily programming meets Richmond’s standards of excellence
• Supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals through educational, recreational, and community-based activities
• Managing the operational aspects of the Day Program, including schedules, staff, and support
• Reporting to the Day Program Manager and assisting in operational continuity
