About The Position

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC) is seeking a DSP/Communications Engineer to create cutting-edge solutions for challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. The role involves working in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers. RRC's primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or another equivalent field
• Strong background in DSP, including knowledge of DSP theory as well as practical system development experience
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python in LINUX environments

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years' experience in a signal processing engineering-related discipline
• Cellular communications, satellite communications, modern modulation schemes, cyclostationary techniques
• Geolocation, radar signal processing, RF propagation and link budgets, RF system design
• DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PІР)

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing digital signal processing systems for communication signals, radar signals, and other applications.
• Developing, deploying, maintaining, and testing software-based solutions.
• Algorithm design, data analysis, hardware control, computational optimization, RF system modeling, field testing, error budget analysis, operational performance analysis, writing efficient software, testing with real data, and providing applications to front-line customer facilities.
• Staying up-to-date with signal processing technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects.
• Working across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M.
• Proposing improvements to applications and frameworks.
• Working unsupervised with minimal direction and self-starting.
