About The Position
Works under direct supervision of program management to provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL and clean driving record
- Fully COVID-19 vaccinated, or willing to get vaccinated (if not vaccinated, must test weekly until fully vaccinated)
- Punctual and dependable
- Must work in an ethical and professional manner
- Must be able to work collaboratively
- Must be able to work independently
- Must demonstrate respect and sensitivity to diversity
- Must possess general knowledge of developmental and physical disabilities
- Must possess knowledge of individual/group instruction techniques
- Must possess knowledge of behavioral and medical knowledge associated with given disabilities such as seizure activity
- Must possess knowledge of practice of correct lifting, positioning and transferring techniques
- Must possess knowledge of behavior modification techniques
- Must possess knowledge of documentation procedures
- Ability to remain calm in high stress situations
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities
Responsibilities
- Provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled customers.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Work in an ethical and professional manner.
- Maintain First Aid/CPR certificates.
- Meet California Community Care Licensing personnel standards.
