About The Position

The Manifestor keeps track of all incoming and outgoing products and assists in all related functions in record keeping requirements and inventory. This role is responsible for accurately scanning pallets to capture proper case count, weights, and dates, documenting numbers and codes per pallet, and creating labels for pallets. The Manifestor ensures all paperwork is completed in accordance with established time frames and record-keeping requirements, and verifies that pallets and labels are correct before they are sent to their destination. The position also involves participating as a member of the Team, fostering cohesiveness, accepting responsibility for identifying areas lacking cohesiveness, and working with the team leader to resolve issues. The Manifestor must be familiar with Simmons' established operating systems and understand their role in supporting these systems, including the impact of individual actions and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas. Other duties as necessary in support of business objectives may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Scans pallets to accurately capture proper case count, weights and dates.
  • Documents numbers and codes per pallet.
  • Creates a label for the pallet.
  • Ensures all paperwork is completed in accordance with established time frames or record keeping requirements.
  • Verifies pallets and labels are correct and sent to the right destination.
  • Participates as a member of the Team.
  • Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members.
  • Attends appropriate team meetings.
  • Fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.
  • Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
  • Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
