The Direct Store Delivery Class A Relief Driver makes an impact by – Must be available for flexible daily schedule to cover vacations and absences. Arrive at specified daily scheduled starting time. Responsible for driving vehicle in a safe and courteous manner per established Fleet Safety guidelines. Load and unload product as required and responsible for the proper placing of product delivered to customer. Rotate delivered products when required. Responsible for completing and returning all necessary paperwork including signed proof of deliveries, credit memos and route summaries. Communicate all customer concerns to Team Leader/Supervisor. Maintain a professional relationship with all customers. Review customer orders and verify invoices and delivered products for accuracy. Responsible for collecting payment for deliveries, when required, and submitting all payments received to the Route Settlement Office upon completion of route. Ensure cargo area is at proper temperature level. Available for varied scheduled work hours assigned. Required to wear only authorized uniform during working hours. Maintain good housekeeping principles within truck cab and cargo area. Report all mechanical problems to Garage department. Responsible for completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and forward copies to assigned location. Fuel vehicle as required. Maintain Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to log daily activity and adhere to all applicable hours of service requirements according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
