About The Position

This role is responsible for nurturing partner relationships and programs generating incremental revenue and enhancing the organization's credibility through skilled persuasion and education. The role strategically positions the organization in deals, shapes requirements, and directs virtual teams for geographic business development. The role also champions compelling rationales for services, educates stakeholders, and develops pursuit strategies for efficient sales cycles.

Requirements

  • Must have Channel Experience & Understand the HP Channel Organization
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in services or solutions business, sales, business development, engagement, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Nurtures partner relationships over extended deal cycles, consistently reinforcing the organization’s credibility through adept persuasion and educational interactions.
  • Positions the organization early in deals to guide partner strategy and shape deal requirements to align with organizational strengths.
  • Directs and oversees channel partners and programs across the geographic area, driving business development initiatives, providing regular progress updates on growth, and fostering collaboration.
  • Develops and champions the compelling rationale for the organization’s services, securing successful engagements through thorough case analysis and presentation.
  • Educates and engages with various stakeholders to effectively communicate business solutions, address deal challenges, and ensure cohesive RFP/RFI responses.
  • Develops pursuit strategies to steer partners through lengthy sales cycles, enabling efficient pursuit activities.
  • Evaluates opportunities and qualifies them for active pursuit based on their potential success probability and the intelligent allocation of resources.
  • Contributes innovative ideas and may lead large cross-functional teams, exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business.
  • Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise, developing strategy and setting functional policy and direction.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees, thus ensuring the realization of operational and strategic plans.
