About The Position

As a Drywaller, you play a hands-on role in the restoration process by repairing drywall, matching textures, and completing professional painting work that helps return homes and businesses to pre-loss condition. You take pride in delivering high-quality drywall and painting work that helps transform damaged properties into clean, finished spaces customers can feel good about again.

Requirements

2-5 years of verifiable experience
Knowledge of industry tools and how to use and maintain them
Good communication skills, written and verbal
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work both independently and as a team

Responsibilities

Mix, match and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes
Scrape, sandpaper, prime and/or seal surfaces prior to painting
Clean walls to ensure proper adherence
Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection
Calculate amounts of required materials
Fill holes, cracks and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking gun or putty knives
Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting
Tape off areas when needed
Knowledgeable on masking and working in occupied homes
Apply drywall to walls or ceilings
Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints
Measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels
Read blueprints and designs
Drive to jobs daily
Work overtime as needed
Practice safe and efficient work techniques to minimize potential injuries and hazardous conditions
Participate in safety meetings and inspections
Ensure that material areas are kept neat and orderly
Always maintain acceptable levels of housekeeping with regard to equipment and assigned work area and/or department
