About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Drywall Technician to join our property management maintenance team. This role is responsible for the repair, restoration, and finishing of interior walls and ceilings across our residential properties. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with patching, sanding, texturing, and painting, ensuring that all unit turns and service requests meet our high quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in drywall hanging, finishing, and texturing. Ability to perform high-quality repairs that are indistinguishable from original work.
  • Experience with interior painting, including cut-in techniques, roller applications, and trim work.
  • Meticulous approach to finishing work to ensure a professional appearance in all units.
  • Proficiency with standard drywall tools (knives, sanders, levels) and painting equipment (brushes, rollers, sprayers).
  • Professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively when working in occupied units.
  • Ability to manage multiple work orders and unit turnovers simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Basic familiarity with property management maintenance software for tracking and closing out tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-quality drywall repairs, including patching small holes, repairing large sections of damaged drywall, taping, mudding, and sanding to a smooth, paint-ready finish.
  • Skillfully match existing wall textures (e.g., orange peel, knockdown, smooth) to ensure seamless repairs.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting (priming, caulking, minor repairs) and apply paint to walls, ceilings, and trim as part of unit turns or service requests.
  • Assist in the unit turn process by completing all necessary wall repairs and painting within a tight timeline to minimize vacancy days.
  • Efficiently manage assigned work orders through property management software, ensuring all tasks are documented, completed on time, and signed off appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean workspace during and after repairs, ensuring zero debris or dust is left behind for the residents.
  • Partner with other maintenance technicians to support broader property projects, including occasional assistance with other general maintenance tasks as needed.
