About The Position

The Drywall Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial drywall and interior construction projects. The role helps ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications. The Project Engineer works closely with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, and field personnel to support quality control, safety compliance, labor productivity, and overall project profitability.

Requirements

• A degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read construction plans and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceilings.
• Experience with construction software.
• Familiarity with commercial construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with general contractors and field personnel.
• Manage requests for information (RFIs) and submittals.
• Assist with material procurement.
• Track project costs and schedules.
• Prepare change orders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support quality control, safety compliance, labor productivity, and project profitability.
