Requirements

Live within the area.
Have 8+ years' experience as a paid handyman.
Own your own tools.
Be insurable for driving a company vehicle.
Complete a background and driving record check.
Able to lift 50 pounds independently.
Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time.
Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle.
Self-management skills.
Ability to speak with customers, provide excellent customer service, ask for reviews, and collect payments.
Ability to use technology.
Ability to document jobs following the "Mr. Handyman Way" process.
Ability to wear proper PPE and booties to protect customer homes.
Strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following: Carpentry work, Bathroom improvements, Kitchen improvements, Painting (inside and out), Drywall work (minor and major repairs), General plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law), Floor installation and refurbishing.
Familiarity with building codes.

Responsibilities

Completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, with project lengths ranging from two hours to two days.
Communicating with customers to explain necessary work, manage expectations about scope and costs, and deliver a great experience to create life-long customers.
Following the "Mr. Handyman Way" - a repeatable process to ensure customer satisfaction.
Encouraging customers to complete satisfaction surveys.
Finding additional ways to be of service to the customer.
Invoicing appropriately, sourcing needed materials, and collecting payment from the customer.
Ensuring work is done correctly the first time to meet a one-year guarantee.
