About The Position

Rock Spring Contracting is expanding into Pennsylvania and is seeking experienced Drywall Foreman to lead projects in the Berwick/Hazleton and Harrisburg markets. This role is for a hands-on leader responsible for managing job sites, ensuring crew productivity, and delivering quality work on schedule. The Drywall Foreman will be instrumental in the success of Rock Spring's projects, requiring knowledge and experience in all aspects of the drywall trade. This position involves working closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, providing on-site supervision and support, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the construction field.
  • Tech Savvy, able to use iPad and associated programs (Verfico, Plangrid, Email, Safety, Various GC construction software).
  • Proficient in speaking and writing in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent Blueprint and Specification interpretation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans and specifications, including performing layout for all types of jobs.
  • Read and implement engineer and shop drawings.
  • Determine, schedule, and verify correct manpower for assigned jobs based on budget and schedule needs.
  • Effectively communicate with GC Project Superintendents and Management, and develop good relationships with GCs on-site.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled by GC field personnel.
  • Complete and submit all required reports: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Incident.
  • Act as the on-site leader and a go-to person for Rock Spring employees, GC employees, and foremen from other trades.
  • Recognize and enforce quality control standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of rolling completion lists and punch lists.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly job site.
  • Present yourself and Rock Spring in a professional manner.
  • Assist PM staff and Superintendent in pricing RFIs and field changes.
  • Determine labor and material needs for RFIs and field changes.
  • Track and write tickets for work requested outside of contract.
  • Exhibit a commitment to safety, understand safe job site practices, attend safety meetings, and enforce safety with the entire team.
  • Ensure all employees know the safety procedures of RSC and GC customers.
  • Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Report all incidents as soon as possible to Rock Spring and GC Safety team.
  • Ensure material is on-site to achieve expected production and minimize waste.
  • Perform field take-offs and material verifications as needed.
  • Place orders, schedule deliveries, and minimize waste.
  • Request materials with realistic lead times and delivery windows.
  • Work with personnel on-site to verify stocking means and methods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
