The Dryroom/Smokehouse Lift Operator uses a forklift to move product between stuffing tables, smokehouses, dry rooms, and trucks while maintaining proper spacing. The role includes inspecting and cleaning the forklift, charging it in designated areas, maintaining clean work areas, completing required paperwork, and following job rotation procedures when hanging meat in trucks. The operator also washes work-area coolers and floors and may perform other duties assigned by the Crew Leader or Supervisor. This is a second-shift position scheduled Thursday through Monday. Most work takes place in a plant environment that may be wet or humid, extremely cold or hot, and near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Production-area noise is loud, and hearing protection is required at all times. The position requires lifting up to 80 pounds and use of specified protective equipment. Industry-leading wages and benefits are offered, including competitive starting pay of $24.44 per hour, a $1.00-per-hour second-shift differential, comprehensive health insurance, retirement benefits, education benefits subject to eligibility, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
