About The Position

STS Packaging, a Schwarz Partners, L.P. affiliate company is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Dry End Stacker Operator in Mooresville, IN. The Dry End Stacker Operator reports to the Shift Supervisor. The Dry End Stacker Operator is responsible for all activities associated with the knife, slitter, and stacker operations to produce a quality product in a safe and efficient manner. The operator is responsible for knowing how to perform all of the job duties associated with the position.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
  • Must follow Safety/GMP/PPE guidelines.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Take direction from Shift Supervisor.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Read and understand instructions and job information.
  • Desire to accept additional responsibility and learn new tasks.
  • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Fluent in English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks.
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the corrugator stacker effectively.
  • Read and understand job instructions, perform quality checks, and communicate any quality variances to slitter operator and/or wet end personnel.
  • Print load tags and correctly tag finished product.
  • Communicate with slitter tech concerning scrap, shortages, make-ups.
  • Understand all controls of vacuum, fingers, and conveyors.
  • Communicate and explain machine problems to maintenance personnel when necessary.
  • Perform L.O.T.O.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues to all teammates.
  • Keep workspace clean and organized.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Comprehend instructions given by supervisors.
  • Get along and have a good working relationship with other employees.
  • Take responsibility for communicating with other shift employees how job is running, problems, adjustments, etc.
  • Use professional communication skills with co-workers and customers.
  • Conform to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures and policies to assure products are suitable for food contact.
  • Report any product quality or food safety issues to the Quality Manager (SQF Practitioner) or Management Team member.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
