About The Position

This role is responsible for providing exemplary service to customers by meticulously cleaning, preparing, and caring for their garments. The position also emphasizes building a positive culture of service, respect, and authentic relationships with both customers and coworkers. Requirements

• Ability to stand continuously for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Ability to operate equipment requiring simultaneous hand and foot controls.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs pounds, repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Ability to move continuously, including repeatedly bending, rotating and/or twisting.
• Ability to tolerate high environmental temperatures.
• Ability to repeat the same task(s) for the duration of a shift, without reducing quality or focus.

Responsibilities

• Sort all garments and household items appropriately for cleaning according to care labels.
• Manage multiple industrial machines for cleaning and drying customer items.
• Identify and eliminate remaining stains or blemishes using steam wands and specialized cleaning solutions.
• Identify and report any garment damage or missing pieces to Quality Controllers or on-site Tailors.
• Sort cleaned items and distribute them evenly to pressers.
• Safely and effectively steam-press customers’ clothing items according to training and instruction.
• Ensure the highest quality on every garment, managing time and output to meet or exceed daily production quotas.
• Inspect every garment for the highest quality of cleaning and pressing before sending to Scanners.
• Repair minor damages or missing pieces (e.g., buttons, zippers) as able.
• Receive and inspect finished pieces for missed spots, stains, or wrinkles, returning items to Quality Control if issues are found.
• Scan barcodes on customer items using the scanner and hang them on the Metal Progetti conveyor.
• Respond immediately to any error messages on the computer system.
• Wash and dry customer items using provided cleaning products and utilities.
• Fold all laundry according to company specifications and package neatly in company laundry bags.
• Report any damage, malfunction, or inoperable machinery to the Production Manager or General Manager immediately.
• Periodically clean common areas of the facility, including the breakroom, bathrooms, and production floor.
• Restock general use items as needed and dispose of personal food items properly.
• Learn the differences among fabrics and best practices for cleaning, pressing, and stain removal.
• Follow equipment operation and safety guidelines.
• Avoid distractions, phone calls, and texting while on the job.
• Utilize designated walking areas and maintain clear walkways.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area, with no food or drinks (except water) permitted at the station.
