About The Position

The Dry Cleaning Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning, pressing, and finishing of garments and specialty items. This role supports customers by maintaining high-quality standards for guest laundry, employee uniforms, and specialty textiles such as bathrobes and delicate fabrics.

  • Operating dry cleaning machines and washers.
  • Selecting appropriate cleaning methods based on fabric type, soil level, and garment care instructions.
  • Identifying stains and applying appropriate spotting treatments.
  • Pressing, steaming, or finishing garments using specialized equipment.
  • Ensuring garments meet quality standards for appearance, wrinkle-free presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Handling delicate and high-value items with extra care.
  • Processing guest laundry requests with attention to detail, timeliness, and quality expectations.
  • Cleaning and maintaining employee uniforms.
  • Handling specialty hospitality items.
  • Inspecting finished items for cleanliness, damage, or missing components.
  • Re-cleaning or re-pressing items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Reporting damaged or heavily stained items to supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, inspect, and tag incoming laundry items including guest garments, hotel linens, uniforms, and specialty items.
  • Operate dry cleaning machines and washers according to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
  • Select appropriate cleaning methods based on fabric type, soil level, and garment care instructions.
  • Identify stains and apply appropriate spotting treatments prior to cleaning.
  • Press, steam, or finish garments using specialized equipment (pressing machines, steamers, irons).
  • Ensure garments meet quality standards for appearance, wrinkle-free presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Handle delicate and high-value items with extra care to avoid damage.
  • Process guest laundry requests with attention to detail, timeliness, and quality expectations.
  • Clean and maintain employee uniforms to ensure professional presentation standards.
  • Handle specialty hospitality items such as bathrobes, spa linens, and luxury fabrics.
  • Inspect finished items for cleanliness, damage, or missing components (buttons, zippers).
  • Re-clean or re-press items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Report damaged or heavily stained items to supervisors.
