About The Position

Sole Hire is recruiting on behalf of an F&F client based in Middle River, MD. Our client is an established chemical and ingredient distribution company. They're looking for a dependable, safety-minded Drumming & Blending Chemical Operator to join their production team. You'll be part of a hands-on production team that runs the machinery used to mix and process chemicals. That includes cleaning, preparing and monitoring equipment, following strict blend sheets, recording process details, troubleshooting equipment issues and helping improve processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills and good verbal and written communication
• A team player who does well in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Commitment to safety and quality standards, including wearing protective gear
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• This is an on-site role, so candidates must live within commuting distance of Middle River, MD.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience
• Forklift certification
• An understanding of chemical processes

Responsibilities

• Package and transfer chemicals safely into containers of various sizes
• Follow strict blend sheets to mix chemicals for drumming
• Process chemicals on equipment such as reactors and distillation systems
• Load and unload bulk tank trailers
• Operate forklifts and other material-moving equipment
• Complete packing sheets, checklists and other paperwork
• Wear the right protective equipment and follow all safety policies
• Handle housekeeping, janitorial and general labor tasks as directed
