About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment, supporting each student’s growth and enjoyment of playing music while contributing to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also involves partnering with students and their families, communicating regularly about progress and goals, and assisting with customer service as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by providing a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student’s progress and share goals and progress with students and/or parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
