About The Position
The Murrieta Academy of Music and Performing Arts is seeking an upbeat, fun, and engaging Drum Teacher with a warm personality to work with students of all ages and levels. The Academy, a community staple since 1990, provides high-quality music lessons and aims to foster a love for music and the arts. The ideal candidate will create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and help them grow in their appreciation of music. Talented musicians with a strong grasp of percussion or several instruments are highly encouraged to apply. The position is based in Murrieta, CA & Menifee, CA, with state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive team.
Requirements
- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of students and people
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Resourceful team player
- Enthusiastic, patient, and positive demeanor
- Good judgment
- Passion for teaching and creating the next generation of students passionate about music
- Strong grasp of percussion, or several instruments
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality music lessons (private and/or group)
- Emphasize not just songs and repertoire, but the fundamentals of music
- Introduce fundamental music theory concepts through engaging methods
